For nearly five decades, Callahan County has been my home. I was raised here, built my career here, and raised my family here. My wife is a fifth-generation Callahan County resident, and most of our children, grandchildren, and extended family still live right here. These roots matter—because when you’ve invested your entire life in a community, every decision you make is personal. I’m running for County Judge because I believe leadership should be grounded in experience, commitment, and a deep understanding of the people it serves.
From 2003 to 2008, I had the privilege of serving as City Administrator for the City of Clyde. During that time, we delivered real results—improving roads, replacing aging water and sewer systems, expanding public safety, and securing state grants to build a new city park and an emergency services facility. We strengthened the police department, implemented a School Resource Officer program to protect our children, and increased city reserves—all without burdening citizens with excessive utility bills or unreasonable tax increases. That experience taught me how to manage growth responsibly, plan for the future, and protect taxpayer dollars.
Today, Callahan County stands at a turning point. The rapid expansion of AI data centers in our county and surrounding areas brings opportunity—but also serious challenges. Increased demands on water, energy, roads, and infrastructure require thoughtful, informed leadership. We must be smart and proactive, embracing innovation while protecting our natural resources and environment. At the same time, population growth means more businesses, hotels, and development—and with that comes the responsibility to be tough on crime, fully support law enforcement, and ensure public safety without breaking the county budget.
At 54 years old, I’m ready to make a long-term commitment to this county and provide the steady, energetic leadership our future demands. I can dedicate my full attention to serving every community in Callahan County and making decisions that benefit all residents—not just today, but for generations to come. Early voting begins February 17th, and Election Day is Tuesday, March 3rd. I respectfully ask for your vote and your support as we work together to protect our values, manage growth wisely, and build a stronger future for Callahan County.
I appreciate your support.
